I have found almost all the alternative on Linux but couldn't find any alternative for Photoshop. Gimp wasn't enough for me so I wanted to install Adobe Photoshop on my Linux computer. Here is how I installed Adobe Photoshop on my Linux and used it.
I have tried it on Zorin 17 and I don't know if it will work on any other distro. But it should work. So initially I wanted to install photoshopCClinux which is available on Github. So first I installed all the packages they suggested, which are:
- wine
- wine64
- winetricks
- md5sum
I have installed both wine64 and wine32 even though my CPU is 64bit. I didn't installed md5sum as it was preinstalled in Zorin 17. I used ChatGPT for all the commands to install them on my PC.
After installing the packages I tried to install photoshopCClinux but it didn't work as I was getting error. So I tried to install Photoshop 7 and it worked perfectly. But I wasn't used to Photoshop 7.
Then I tried to use Adobe Photoshop CC portable. And it also worked fine. I didn't try any other version as Photoshop CC is the version I use most of the time and it is enough for me. But I am sure that other versions of Photoshop may work fine too.
